Crossbows are the most useful ranged attacking weapon hanging around. They fire quickly in the hands of an Amazon and derive their bonus damage out of your points in Dexterity. Amazons possess a crossbow skill tree, but other characters could be effective together as well, especially Druids and Necromancers, who can take cover behind their minions and shoot from the distance. Necromancers and Druids tend to dwindle useful with bows and crossbows because they advance in levels since their Dexterity isn’t high enough, plus they don’t have skills to enhance their bow attacks.
When we add simple machinery to the already potent weapons of archery, what occurs may be the deadly crossbow. While somewhat slower to load and fire than the usual bow, the higher power that it can launch bolts (also called quarrels) permits them to strike with much greater force, inflicting higher damage than arrows. Crossbows were improved within the Expansion, particularly the Exceptional and Elite versions. They now do more damage than bows generally but possess a slower firing speed. They are reasonable choices for higher-level Amazons though.
Damage Bonus: This determines the way you multiply the product damage because of your stats to achieve the actual damage. Every 100 points for the reason that stat doubles your weapon’s total physical damage. All Bows are 100 Dex, meaning every point in Dex adds 1% of the weapon’s total physical damage, thus 100 points in Dex will double your bow damage.

QUIVERS
Arrows and Bolts/Quarrels are essential to use a bow or crossbow, plus they must be equipped in a single hand, using the bow/crossbow within the other. They have no purpose otherwise and therefore are one of the simpler weapon-type items hanging around.
EXCEPTIONAL CROSSBOWS
Exceptional Crossbows are located only on Nightmare and Hell difficulty levels in Diablo II. In the Expansion, they might be found in late Normal, after which they all through Nightmare and Hell.
ELITE CROSSBOWS
You will find Elite Crossbows in Acts 4-5/Nightmare after which all through Hell, though like several Elite items, they drop hardly ever.
