I'm on the boat that believes this team genuinely updates the sport for Animal Crossing Bells free because they could not get everything they wanted performed by launch date. I believe other games/publishers might be predatory, such as EA, when they provide dlc before the games are launched, in addition to opportunities to microtransactions.
I believe ACNH had time to make it even better considering that they began making it in 2012 and postponed the release from June 2019 to March 2020. I played the game a lot and while I really like the potential of this but I believe that the game is sloppily made and predatory because they pushed heavily for people to get online subscriptions (such as your island is secured on certain colours, if I need something pink I gotta commerce ) and locked items and lately villagers behind a paywall (you gotta buy amiboos for Sanrio villagers and things ).
The main disappointment is villager dialog and character, they're basically equal to each other according to personality type and hobby and although some increase on you it is still quite underwhelming. I also think"Free updates" is a bizarre flex because it implies that we're lucky we don't need to pay for things which really should have been there from Buy Nook Miles Ticket the beginning (like more layout slots and storage expansions).
