Eve trailers always fire up me to go join a alliance and take the fight to the enemy. If there comes a impartial from system I get a listing of EVE Echoes Items directions and corp spreadsheets to dock. 30 folks dock when one neut comes in. I decided to learn how to bypass gate camps and become that neutral in system.

I joined a alliance and they were wimps. I once saw one Gila dance circles round a 4 platform pocket populated with 3 corporations, all with gamers who were online at the time, and after the first 5 or 6 of them died to this solo Gila (who clearly didn't arrive with backup or they'd have joined the first involvement ), the order was given for everyone to dock up and stop trying to kill him.

I guarantee you he has some shiny shit on that ship". Unfortunatly, everyone only had philosophy ships within their hangers. No one was equipped for an impromptu fight with something other than a gigantic chunk of anchored opponents up. I abandoned nullsec shortly afterwards.

A hangar full of philosophy ships was among my favourite things about my last trip to nullsec. The attractiveness of PvP in evehas always been that flexibility. You realize noone has boats with fits they're not likely to have SRP'd and combine the donut that is blue, and it simply drains the pleasure. That hangar filled with philosophy ships is probably around 2 bil. That is a lot of cash for Buy EVE Mobile ISK the average dude.

I suppose the SRP procedure could be made better if corps agreed to take action for any boat that gets its value from killmails before getting popped. Either this, or corps should expand their philosophy to include boats to cover their asses. The point of SRP is to convince folks to come on dull fleets where they have a high chance of losing their boat through no real fault of their own. If individuals don't need to bother undocking random ships to acquire a struggle and have fun, srp'ing their boats likely won't help much.
