But it's not always easy to maintain and sometimes requires a little extra work. A robotic mower can help you save a lot of time and effort. However, it is necessary to do a bit of work before you can start enjoying your free time: Installing the charging station and boundary wires. Follow the step-by-step instructions in this article to get your yard ready for Automower.
Before starting the actual installation of the boundary wire, it's a good idea to survey your lawn and note any obstacles such as trees, stones or other structures. This is important so that you can avoid mapping these areas with the boundary wire and thus ensure that your Automower only operates in the lawn areas that you want it to. It is also advisable to manually trim any grass that is higher than 6 cm one last time with a standard lawn mower or trimming tool – Automower can only operate at optimum level in a neatly trimmed garden.
You should also make sure that the charging dock is located in a flat, shady spot with a power supply nearby. Then you can install the boundary wires and the guide wire in order to allow your Automower to find its way back to the docking bay when it needs a charge. The Automower can be easily programmed with the help of the supplied app, which allows you to set the desired mowing times and to change them as needed.
The Automower uses a free movement pattern and razor-sharp blades to cut the grass, creating a carpet-like appearance in your lawn. The tiny clippings are then recycled into the turf as a natural fertilizer. Moreover, the mower operates very quietly and produces no harmful emissions.
